Were there a bunch of electronics under your tree this year? Not sure what apps to download for those gadgets? Check out these great mobile apps to use on your Verizon supported devices:
Here are some of the best, kid friendly–parent approved apps provided by Verizon.
Kids Place – Parental Control – This app has parental controls and child lock that protects your personal data and restricts kids to apps you have approved. Kids Place also prevents children from downloading new apps, making calls, texting and more.
Scout’s ABC Garden by LeapFrog – Most parents are familiar with the LeapFrog products, now you can download games on your devices. Puppy pal Scout can say your child’s name and favorite things as he teaches the ABCs and more. Progress reports in the app show the letters your child has learned – you can even receive learning updates via email, Facebook or Twitter.
Tweekaboo – Users can record their child’s life story in a private, digital journal that can be shared with select friends and family. At Tweekaboo every story of your child’s life is logged safely into in an organized digital journal so that you can access your story anytime. Create a personal online diary for each child, then together relive all their mad and momentous moments. But be warned – it gets addictive!
Chore Pad – This app allows you to keep track of household tasks with your children. When they complete a task, they’ll receive a star and you can choose how many stars they need before they are rewarded. Bonus stars and penalty stars are also part of the game, so your child knows when they’re doing a good job.
Life360 – This family-locating app allows you to keep track of your family members via GPS. The map also shows you wear the nearest hospitals are as well as police and fire stations.
OurGroceries – Never leave your shopping list at home again—it’s always with you on your mobile phone or web browser. Android offers a grocery app that allows you to create a list and easily send it to your phone at any time. While shopping, simply tap an item to cross it off. Tap a crossed-off item to return it to the list.
iEmergency – This app allows parents to store important health data including allergies, prescriptions, and medical conditions. You can also store information on each person’s doctor so everything is easy to access in one simple place.
Find My Kids – Footprints – With Footprints, you can track your kids and share locations with family and friends, anytime, privately. It all happens automatically, whether your phone is in your hand or in your pocket. All in a beautifully clear and simple interface.
