Yesterday was my son’s 13th birthday and as a surprise we took him to a Hershey Bears hockey game in our favorite day trip destination, Hershey PA. Once Spring hits and the weather is nice we love to do day trips and often go to Hershey or Philly for the day and one of the things I have learned traveling with five kids is that you always need to make sure to have enough snacks!
I love to bring snacks that are easy to eat in the car, don’t make a big mess and keep them full–if that is possible with hungry, growing kids! This Easy Trail Mix recipe is one of my favorite snacks to pull together since it is easy to make, doesn’t cost much and can be customized to our liking.
Easy Trail Mix
- 1 cup raisins
- 1 cup Gold Emblem dark chocolate covered almonds
- 1 cup Gold Emblem dried coconut
- 1 cup Gold Emblem Fuji Apple Crisps
- 1 cup Gold Emblem Fuji Apple & Blueberry Clusters
- 1 cup peanuts
- Mix all ingredients together in large bowl. Place 1 cup of mixture into resealable plastic bag and enjoy!

What do you like to put in your Trail Mix recipes?

Trail mix is my favorite snack right now!! I will have to try this! My current fave is almonds, dark chocolate morsels, goji berries, banana chips, and toasted coconut:)
