Let’s be honest, okay? The holiday season is a magical time but it can also be a stressful times for moms. No matter how much we do each day our to-do list just keeps getting longer. It takes a lot of time and effort even with the fun stuff to make it all happen for Christmas. It’s all worth however, on Christmas morning when we can sit back, relax and enjoy the moment…..right? Okay so that doesn’t happen with out a little planning so heck out my Easy Tips to Make Christmas Morning Less Stressful and enjoy your holiday!
Do all of these easy tips now…that’s right, today, even though Christmas morning is still a few days away. By doing it now you are all ready for the hustle and bustle of Christmas morning. At the very least make sure that you do this before you head to bed on Christmas Eve.
Easy Tips to Make Christmas Morning Less Stressful
First things first….set up a coffee and hot chocolate bar in your house so that everyone can help themselves throughout the morning and you don’t have to keep refiling their cups. Put out some mugs, so single serve coffee and hot chocolate cups and you are good to go.
Next, stash a basket with some Christmas morning essentials in it under the tree. I keep a small basket near the back of the tree and I fill it with extra batteries, a garbage bag, scissors, a screwdriver and my camera. That way I am ready for any emergency, because trust me, when you are opening your presents the last thing you want is to find out that they special toy your kids wanted from Santa isn’t going to work because the batteries are dead…..so have some batteries on hand ready to go.
Did you know that Energizer Ultimate Lithium Batteries are the #1 longest-lasting AA batteries – complete with leak resistance and performance in extreme temperatures?
Then, set up your video camera on your tripod and leave it in a spot that it captures all the action in the room. Using the tripod lets you sit back and relax and be a part of the magic since you don’t have to worry about getting the perfect shot.
Finally, plan ahead for breakfast–after the kids come running down the steps and tear into their presents the last thing you want to do is scramble around for breakfast. Plan ahead and prep this Overnight Cinnamon Roll Fresh Toast recipe from my friend Steph and then Christmas morning all you have to do is pop it in the oven….yum!
I hope these easy tips help you have the best Christmas morning ever!
