“I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for CWIST. I received a promotional item as a thank you for participating.”
The Holidays are a busy time for all of us and we can often get caught up in the hustle and bustle of the season. It’s important to my husband and I that our kids know that the holiday’s are not just about getting gifts and toys but that it is about giving and making memories for other kids as well. With younger kids though, it can be tough to find opportunities that showcase the true meaning of the holiday’s while keeping it fun. That is why I was so excited to learn about CWIST.
With CWIST, parents assign a learning challenge (“a cwist”) that the child will love doing because it’s interactive and it’s fun. There are two types of CWISTs that parents can chose from:
- Ready-made challenges can be drawn from an online library of age-appropriate educational online games, such as a math challenges
- Parents can create their own challenge for their kids to complete.
I chose to have my 5 year old daughter particpate in the CWIST program and I chose the Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood Scavenger Hunt for her and I to do together. We had a great time looking for everyday items like a Stop Sign, a flower pot, a mailbox and more! It was fun, we had a great time doing it and the best part? By completing our CWIST we were able to donate a toy to kids in need through the Kids CWIST for Kids charitable initiative. We were able to chose a toy together online to donate to a child in need, in our case we chose a 5 year old girl.
The Kids CWIST for Kids initiative connects a parent and their children to a child in need. Parents assign their children CWISTs to complete but instead of their child receiving the reward, a gift will be donated to a child whose family can’t afford holiday presents. In addition, CWIST will also be donating the first $1,000 in toys earned by children for completing CWISTs to family-supporting charities.
It’s a win-win for everyone! Make sure to check out the CWIST program today!
