Our Nutrisystem Journey: Week 5

Five weeks in and still going strong! Truthfully,  I am loving the ease of this program.  I don’t have to do anything special and I just keep losing weight and even better?  I feel GREAT!  I have energy, I am sleeping better and my clothes fit better.  What isn’t to like?

Our Nutrisystem Journey Week 5

I think one of the biggest misconceptions about Nutrisystem is that people think that I  ONLY eat Nutrisystem food and that just isn’t the case. Every day I get to eat a NS breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack. In addition to them  I get to have Power Fuels and Smart Carbs and they are all items that I buy at the store. For example, I often eat greek yogurt, I have salads daily, string cheese, fruits and veggies.  One of my favorite snacks is I cut up a whole wheat tortilla, bake it in the oven for a few minutes and then eat it with salsa…yum! So good!


Vince’s Story 

This week I started back at the gym.  I was a little concerned my workouts would cause me to require more food intake, in particular more protein.

So far the Nurtisystem meals have been more than filling and I am not going hungry.   I think the key is to organize your meals and meal time.

I have a breakfast meal before I leave for the gym.  I like the Breakfast Burritos best.  After I work out, I have a protein shake and a piece of fruit – either an apple or banana.

The rest of the day is the usual plan.  I try to keep one of my desserts for later in the day or early evening in case I get hungry.

Week 5 Results:

Megan– 3.7 lbs (17.3 lbs lost since starting the program)

Vince– .5 lbs (12.5 lbs lost since starting the program)

Combined Total Weight Loss– 29.8 lbs lost overall

Note: Nutrisystem has kicked off a new program called Small Win Wednesday!
