So I have finished up my second full week on Nutrisystem and so far I am really liking the program. As I said in this post, Week one I was on the Fast Five where you eat 3 meals and 2 shakes per day and can eat unlimited starchy vegetables. For Week 2 and beyond you get 3 meals, 1 dessert (two if you are a man!), unlimited veggies and Smart Carbs and Power Fuels (amount allowed depends on your calorie plan).
Truthfully, this week I haven’t been hungry at all. I will admit early on I was worried I would hate the food but that has not been the case at all. As with any food there have been some things that I don’t like (Chicken Alfredo–not a fan!) but really most of what I have tried I have really liked.
I LOVE the ease of not having to prepare something for me, this has been a really easy plan to follow. I just pick from my breakfast, lunch and dinner selections what I want to eat and then heat as necessary.
I really like all the breakfast and lunch bars, in fact I was telling my husband today that I am in love with the Trail Mix Bar for lunch, and I really thought that was going to be one that I didn’t like. It has a great mix of sweet and salty and it is very filling…..I really love it!
It is great to have warm breakfast and lunch options but sometimes I get busy and a bar is just what I need. I can throw it in my purse and eat it while we are out running errands or eat it while I am trying to help the kids with their schoolwork.
Dinners are really very tasty and filling as well. I make sure to make a large salad with my dinner and add some cheese on top (Powerfuel). I also use some Low Fat Italian dressing most nights. My favorite dinners are the Ravioli Formaggio, the Chicken Tortilla Soup, Mushroom Stuffed Chicken Breast and the Pizza’s….the Pizza’s are SO good!
My results are not as dramatic this week as they were last week ( of course I didn’t expect to lose another 9.5 lbs) but I am still happy with the loss this week. I really think that my hormonal fluctuations play a role in your weight on a day to day basis so my goal is to treat this experience as a marathon, not a sprint. Each lb or 2 helps me towards my overall goal of feeling better and being healthier.
Overall I have been super happy with the program. February 1 st I plan on starting the T25 workout plan again so I am looking forward to really losing weight and toning up. We booked our upcoming beach vacation recently so I am very motivated to shed this weight!
Two weeks done and 9.7 pounds gone. Last week I finished up the Fast Five plan through which I lost 6.7 pounds.
This past week I started the regular Nutrisystem plan and I lost an additional 3 pounds. I had surpassed 10 pounds, but one client dinner at the end of last week dropped me under the double digit mark.
Nevertheless, I continue to enjoy the meals. I am not sacrificing taste, in fact I actually look forward to a few of my favorites like the Chicken with Alfredo Sauce dinner and the Three Cheese Chicken soup.
Now that the Fast Five is over, I am able to have two desserts a day and I really like the ice cream sandwiches and white chocolate chip cookies. They are perfect for that afternoon craving or an evening snack.
All in all, I am happy to say my first two weeks on Nutrisystem have been a success and the structure and meal planning have allowed me to lose weight, save money and eat on a more regular schedule.
Week 2 Results:
Megan– 1.8 lbs (11.4 lbs lost since starting the program)
Vince– 3 lbs (9.7 lbs lost since starting the program)
Combined Total Weight Loss– 21.1 lbs lost overall
