Mother’s Day is quickly approaching and I’m sure lots of you are wondering what to get the special Moms and Grandmother’s in your life to show just how much you care. Well, did you know that most Mom’s don’t want expensive gifts but would much rather have something from the heart?
Why not have your kids make something for mom and grandma that is made by them? It doesn’t have to be perfect, it just has to be made with love.
Last year my mother in law had my kids make me a Melted Crayon Art picture and I absolutely love it! They all had a job to do in the creation of the project and now it hangs in a place of honor in my dining room for all to see. My kids get a kick out of seeing it displayed and they love to tell me what their job was in doing it.
Why not try this with your kids this year?
Melted Crayon Art
Here are the steps:
- 1. Take a box of new crayons and a small paint canvas and attach the crayons to the canvas with a glue gun.
- 2. Once your crayons are attached and the glue has dried take a hairdryer and hold it above the crayons so the crayons melt down the canvas towards the bottom.
- 3. Allow drips to dry completely.
Enjoy!
I have compiled a list of additional crafts for your to check out, I hope you enjoy them!
