During the summer my kids and I are rarely home. We like to spend the hot days at our local lake, where there is swimming and basketball courts, two playgrounds and lots of wide open spaces. All the kids just run around in their bathing suits and bare feet and just have the type of carefree summer kids should have.
The other day though, after a few minor injuries I realized that I had never put together a First Aid Kit so I did a First Aid Kit List and supplies to put in my Grab and Go Summer Fun Bag so when we needed band aids we had to borrow from other parents. I headed home that night and put together a quick first aid kid so that I am always ready.
Here is what I put in my First Aid Kit:
1. An assortment of bandaids–not only did I chose a variety of sizes but I also picked up a variety of colors and patterns too. Anyone who has kids knows that the color of the band aid is very important and is a fashion statement and a cool band aid makes everything better.
2. Antibiotic ointment for cuts and scraps-because we are outside playing in the sand and dirt I always want to make sure to add antibiotic cream to our cuts before we put on the band aid, just as a preventative measure.
3. Tweezers– I added tweezers because they are great for removing splinters, sharp grasses that stick in your skin and bee stingers.
Put everything in a large Ziploc bag and you are ready for summer fun!
What would you add to a First Aid Kit? Is there anything I am missing?
Disclosure: I was provided items from CVS/Pharmacy for review purposes. All opinions are 100% my own.
