I remember when I was about 8 years old the hot toy of the Christmas season was the Cabbage Patch dolls…remember those? They were HUGE and every girl I knew wanted one. Of course, that year Santa made it happen and I was thrilled to find my very first Cabbage Patch Doll under the tree.
It wasn’t until years later that I heard the story about how that Cabbage Patch Doll came to be under my tree, about how those dolls were so popular that my parents could not find one locally and that one of my mother’s co-workers actually found one while on vacation and brought it back from Canada–all so I could have that doll.
Over the years my kids have hoped and dreamed of finding a certain special toy under the tree but thankfully, I haven’t had to go to extremes to find the special toy.
Kmart has released their list of the Fab 15 and some of my kids wish list toys are included, which is great because I can shop for these toys both in store and online this holiday season.

I cannot believe how the My Little Pony has come back! Those were huge when I was a kid.
I totally understand about the Cabbage Patch Doll. In fact, I think my Mom got one during a crazy day at Kmart! I still have my baldie boy Bill.
