Fall is here, school is back in session and our after school activities have really ramped up. As I have said before, my older four kids are all competitive swimmers so that means hours of practice each week.
Because they are competitive athletes they tend to burn calories very quickly and so keeping them properly fueled up is very important. Monday through Friday we leave for the pool at 5 p.m. and don’t get home some nights until after 8. That means that most nights we have a late lunch, snack before practice and then a late dinner and because of this I try really hard to keep healthy yet tasty snacks on hand at all times.
