My oldest daughter is in 4th grade and this has really been a great year for her. She tends to be on the shy side but she has really stepped out of her comfort zone a lot recently and is working hard. She is doing great with her schoolwork and she has been working on improving her times on the swim team and I am very proud of her. I wanted to make sure to get her a card for her birthday that she would love, but that would also convey how proud of her I am and all off her achievements this year. Knowing that Walmart has a HUGE selection of Hallmark cards I headed there recently to check out the kids cards and to pick up some special treats for her.
While checking out the great selection of cards I spotted a Hallmark Poster card and was intrigued. All of my girls are big fans of the Disney movie Brave and I love the story line as well, after all isn’t that what we want our daughters to be? Don’t we want them to be brave and embrace life and chart their own course?
I also took a moment to check out the Halloween cards, how awesome is this card for the Star Wars fans in your life?
Of course, I got home and I just couldn’t wait until her birthday to give her the card. I really wanted her to know that I was thinking about her and proud of her and her accomplishments so I gave it to her right away.
At first when she opened it she was a bit confused since it isn’t a traditional card but then she opened it, and opened it, and finally it was open all the way and she realized it was a poster! She(and her sisters!) were so excited to check it out!
What a great way to show someone you care!

Those cards are so fun! I recently sent some to my kids, too. Love the Brave one!
What a fabulous idea – and then the card lives on afterwards!
I will have to go check them out. I have not seen them in person.
I love this! My dd7 would love getting a poster as a card for her birthday in December.
So cute! Brave is a big hit here and that poster looks super cute! What a great way to celebrate her! #client
