On Saturday, April 13th, children 18 months and under are invited to the Montrose location of the Susquehanna County Historical Society & Free Library Association for a Lap-Time program to kick off National Library Week. Parents and children are invited to the program which starts at 10:00am in the children’s room in Montrose; come listen to a story and enjoy fun activities centered on the theme “Read to your Bunny.” Children who attend the program will receive a free book.
After the program, parents are encouraged to sign their children up for the Library’s “Babies-and-Books” program. Children 12 months and under will have their photo taken and displayed at the library and receive a gift bag. On your child’s first birthday, you will receive a postcard in the mail letting you know you may come to the library and receive a free board book. On your child’s second birthday, parents will receive a post-card and the photo that’s been on display.
