Well it is finally Back to School time which means we are heading back into our Fall activities schedule. We have a couple of weeks before swim team practice starts which means that we don’t have daily practice yet so my schedule isn’t as packed but I am gearing up for that.
This week we plan on taking advantage of the lingering summer weather and hope to get a few nights in of fun swimming at our local lake so I plan on taking it easy on the cooking.
One thing I definitely plan on doing is whipping up a batch of Blueberry Breakfast Bars, which despite their name, are yummy at any time. They are great for a quick breakfast or a quick snack, even dessert!
Here is my Family Meal Plans for the first week of September:
Tuesday: We will be out running errands and heading to appointments on Tuesday so we will be finishing up the Easy Potato Soup with Ham recipe that I made last week. I froze some when I made it so tomorrow I will just have to defrost the soup in the fridge and then warm it up on the stovetop. Quick and easy and yum!
Wednesday: I love to grill and it is supposed to be warm so I think I will just do Chicken Kabobs on the grill with Grilled Potatoes. That way everything is cooked outside and it keeps my house nice and cool!
Thursday: This is the only night this week that the kids have activities so I think I will keep it simple and make Tacos. My kids love tacos so we eat them almost every week. They are easy to make and everyone eats them without complaining so why not, right? Adding tacos to your meal plan too? Print this coupon for $1.00 off three Old El Paso products .
Friday: Friday is almost always Pizza night. Some nights we get it hot and fresh from the local pizza parlor but this week I plan on heating up one of the Effortless Meal deals from Walmart–full review coming soon.
Saturday: We have a family dinner so we will be eating out.
Sunday: I am hoping that we will head up to the lake so that always meals hotdogs and hamburgs on the grill–YUM!
