The holidays are quickly approaching and I’m hearing more and more chatter about Black Friday deals and online shopping deals. I love shopping online, in fact it is how I do the majority of my shopping because with five kids who wants to go to the store? It is just easier to shop online from my home and have the items shipped directly to me. In fact, I save money by staying home and have found some Easy Ways to Save Money while Shopping Online and I want to share them with you.
Easy Ways to Save Money while Shopping Online
First, when shopping online, I always make sure to use EBATES to save money. I am always shocked when I hear about friends and family that don’t use this awesome program. Ebates is particularly great when you are shopping at a favorite store, since it offers so many great deals and promo codes, often with free shipping AND your get a percentage back.
Are you familiar with Ebates? Ebates is a cash back program similar to getting rebates at other stores but it is all done online. All you do is sign up on Ebates and then when you are ready to shop online you go to their site, enter your favorite store and they will tell you how much you will get back on that purchase. You then click the link, shop on your favorite stores website and you are done.
Making it even better is that not only do you save money but it is easy to do. In a few weeks you will get a Big Fat Check in the mail for the amount of money you have saved. That is is! It is truly such an easy way to save both money (by getting a rebate) and time (by shopping online).
Remember, it costs you NOTHING to join and NOTHING to use Ebates. It is exactly like when you get a rebate from the grocery store, there is not catch! Right now they are running a promotion where when you sign up and make a qualifying purchase (spend $25) you get $10 back. Now is a great time to sign up.
Two, shop on Amazon. Amazon carries EVERYTHING under the sun and at great prices. Plus if you are a Amazon Prime member you get free shipping…trust me, if you aren’t a Prime member you should be. It is worth the sign up fee. I love to use Amazon for books and household items–did you know you can buy toilet paper online? You can, it’s great. Amazon is also great for electronics and toys and they run really great flash deals around the holidays, so make sure to check them out often. Click here to visit the Amazon Homepage to get started.
Third, Sign up for GetMyPerks. When you sign up you put where you live so you get offered deals to both local business and gift cards to larger retailers. It is a great way to support local businesses and get great deals at the same time. Click here to sign up for GetMyPerks.
So tell me, how do you save money shopping online? Are you already a member of these great programs?
