Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching, do you have a plan for that night? For some, the idea of a cozy, intimate Valentine’s Day is more appealing than a night out on the town. I know that I much prefer a night at home than out and if that’s your style too, you’ll appreciate these ideas for a cozy Valentine’s Day at home that I have put together.
Easy Way to Celebrate Valentine’s Day at Home
Romantic Movie Night–Put the kids to bed early and watch a romantic movie together. For a Valentine’s movie night, you’ll want romantic movies and an atmosphere that’s just as romantic so go the extra mile. Turn down the overhead lights, light some candles and cozy up on the couch. Serve wine and finger foods and enjoy the evening.
Valentine Hunt- Similar to an Easter Hunt, set up a Valentine’s Day hunt. Hide Valentine chocolates, poems, pieces of jewelry, homemade cards and gifts all around the house. Take it to the next step and set it up as a scavenger hunt!
Romantic Dinner at home with wine-Splurge a little and have a fancy dinner for two at home. Steak, lobster, even your favorite everyday meal can be romantic when served by candlelight. Make sure to make some Chocolate Covered Strawberries-it is easier than you think!
Create Mementos from Memories–Did you go on a lot of vacations ? Have pictures from a special moment in your life? Valentine’s Day is a great time to do something with these mementos. You can do something traditional, like create a photo album of a special trip or event; or you could be more unconventional and make a keepsake collage with photos, movie tickets, and other items. It’s even possible to make jewelry, clothing, or mugs out of some items.
There are so many fun ways to celebrate a cozy Valentine’s Day at your home. I hope this list helps you get started on your romantic night in!
