Back when my husband and were first married we lived in Philadelphia and we often went to a local Italian restaurant for dinner. The food was fabulous, the prices were great and because the portions were so big we always came home with yummy leftovers. One of things I really loved there though was they would give you a basket of bread and some yummy Garlic Infused Olive Oil to dip your bread into and it was oh, so divine!! Had I know then how easy it was to make I would have lived that appetizer every day. I love it and I’m sure you will love it too, that’s why I’m sharing this Easy Recipe for Garlic Infused Olive Oil. It is perfect for all your nights at home and holiday gatherings too!
Easy Recipe for Garlic Infused Olive Oil
- 1 cup olive oil
- 2 tbsp minced garlic
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Pour olive oil and garlic in a small saucepan and heat slowly while mixing well. Don't allow the garlic to burn, it such just turn a light brown. Add Italian seasoning, pour into serving bowl and enjoy!
One of the things that makes this recipe so wonderful is all the great ways that you can use it. You can make it in advance and keep it in your refrigerator for a few days and use it as a dipping sauce with some crusty bread, you can use it to make garlic bread, add it to any recipes that call for olive oil or toss it with linguine and some parmesan cheese for an easy and quick dinner…the possibilities are endless!!
It also goes great on a meat and cheese platter so it makes entertaining easy as well. Stock your fridge with some yummy meats and cheese, grab some crackers and you are company ready in no time.
Enjoy!
