Here in NEPA, we are having a bit of a rainy, colder spring. It has been a tough adjustment, especially after a warmer than usual winter with very little snow. All the rain means the yard is very muddy so we have been stuck inside during the day way more than I –and the kids–like. Thankfully, the rains cleared up earlier this week and yesterday we were able to get out and spend the afternoon with our friends at our local lake community.
Once May hits we are always looking for an excuse to head over and play at the lake, and while it isn’t open yet for swimming it is always fun to head over on warm spring days to play in the sand, ride the swings, play basketball, and of course, have a picnic in the grass with friends.
Because it was a last minute trip to the lake I headed to CVS/Pharmacy to grab some quick snacks to take with us. I am loving the Gold Emblem line at CVS/Pharmacy because it offers healthier options of some of our family favorites-all without artificial preservatives or flavors.
We also packed our favorite Gold Emblem Fruit Bars–my daughter loves these and I love that they have 2 1/2 servings of fruit in each bar. They are at the perfect way to make kids think they are getting a sweet treat while really they are getting a healthy boost of fruit.
Even the moms get in on the snacking, I am ADDICTED to these Gold Emblem Walnut Pieces–they are the perfect healthy afternoon snack as they pack just the right amount of crunch.
Have you tried the Gold Emblem Abound line yet at CVS/Pharmacy? Which items are your family favorites?
