Easy Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe

12/09/14 | Dessert Recipes, Desserts, Recipes, Uncategorized

When I was a little girl I spent a lot of time with my great grandmother and we would often spend time baking cookies.  She was the best baker and even now, 20+ years after her death I still look back fondly on the time I spent with her in the kitchen. When we would bake it was always my job to cream the butter and the sugar together and I still think of her each time I do that.

Now that my girls are older I often spend time with them in the kitchen, baking cookies and telling them about my great-grandmother, and every holiday season my mom comes and all three generations spend time together in the kitchen baking.

One of our favorite things to bake any time of the year is this Easy Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe. It is a variation of a recipe that every baker has used before but by adding some extra flour and brown sugar you get a thick, rich, sweet cookie that your entire family will gobble up in now time.

I hope you bring your family into the kitchen with you to make these cookies and make sweet memories, much like the memories I have of my great-grandmother.

Hi Megan, my family love chocolate chip cookies and I am on a mission to find what we think are the best.

Your recipe seems just the ticket (nice and simple), so will definitely be giving it a go.

    Pinning and sharing for sure.

I love chocolate chip cookies – and I’m always trying new chocolate chip cookie recipes. They are, after all, the BEST cookie – period.

Thanks so much for sharing (and for linking up to the #SHINEbloghop).

    Wishing you a lovely weekend.

They look really chewy and I love that in a cookie. I might have to give these a try this weekend!

I need to go back to using brown sugar in my chocolate chip cookie recipe. I think it makes a significant difference.
