School has been back in session for a few weeks, the new pencils and pens are all broken and the excitement of school has worn off for most kids. Chances are, at this point, you have also fallen into the lunchtime rut with your kids lunches….am I right?
Well, get ready to break free of the rut with these cool lunch ideas for CVS and their Gold Emblem Abound products. I was recently given the chance to try some of there offerings and my entire family LOVED them!
First off, my kids LOVE peanut butter and jelly sandwiches…really, what kid doesn’t? And since we homeschool I don’t have to worry about peanut issues in the classroom so we eat PB&J sandwiches a few times a week. I decided to surprise the kids however and shake things up and make them extra special and they all loved them. It’s amazing how just changing the shape of the food makes it taste totally different!
I have been making these Peanut Butter and Jelly Roll-ups for my girls and they just eat them all up! They are fun to eat and I can feel good about them because I have been using the Gold Emblem Abound from CVS/Pharmacy brand which means that the Peanut Butter is free from artificial preservatives & flavors and a good source of protein and the fruit spread is organic–so great taste and great for you!
Sometimes I also cut them in half and serve them like sushi, my 3 year old really loves them cut like this, it is perfect for her little hands!
We also really love the Fruit and Veggie Snack bars! With 2.5 servings of fruits and veggies into each bar and no added sugar they are a great, sweet treat to grab. I personally LOVE these, they are the perfect flavor and texture and my kids love them too!
Finally, my oldest daughter loves to eat crackers and cheese for her lunch so I always make sure to have on hand the organic 8-Grain Wheat Crackers. They provide just the right amount of crunch in her lunch and she pairs with them a sliver of cheese to up the protein content. They make a great snack too!
Next time you head to CVS/Pharmacy make sure to check out the Gold Emblem Abound line of food and snacks. We have been trying lots of great options over the past few weeks and we have loved them all! I love that they are great tasting products with simple ingredients that I can feel great about giving my kids all at a great price. Make sure to check out them soon!
