Summer is right around the corner and that means warm weather and heading out on vacation. I actually just got back from my annual beach vacation and we had a great time.
My girls love to spend their days on the beach walking along the water line picking up all the beautiful shells and colorful rocks they can find and just like every year, I come home and have cups and cups full of rocks and shells and that I wonder what to do with.
Well this year I have a PLAN! My oldest daughter wanted a way to display her rocks in her room as a momento but since I also have a 3 year old I didn’t want to use anything that had glass because I didn’t want it to get broken.
While were were away the kids enjoyed drinking AquaBall water and we ended up having a bunch of empty containers and I realized that the containers were PERFECT for displaying our beach rocks.

Now on to the craft!
Beach in a Bottle Craft
12 oz AquaBall bottle
Beach shells or rocks
1. Take AquaBall bottle removed the label.
2. Place beach rocks into the plastic bottle and tighten lid. (Because my burlap was see through I used a sharpie marker to color in the top of my lid so it didn’t show through since my lid was pink.)
3. Cut a square of burlap and place on top of bottle lid and start wrapping rope twine around it tightly until you reach the top of the lid and then tie off in a knot.Trim edges so they are not visible.
- If you wish you can use a sharpie to label your bottle with the location and year so you can always remember your beach vacation.
Enjoy your beach momento!
