No one wants to spend their days cleaning so I put together this quick 5 Minute Cleaning Tips for Busy Moms Printable Checklist!
Some days I feel like I could spend all day cleaning up messes, but thankfully, I have come up with some tricks to stay on top of messes so I don’t feel like all I do is clean.
The key for me is to make sure I stay on top of things and do a little each day to keep the house from getting too messy and too dirty, otherwise I find that I just get stressed–and no one wants a stressed out mommy!
I have developed a list of 5 Minute Cleaning Tips that works for me to stay on top of the mess and I hope they work for you too. You can print the checklist here. Make sure to pay special attention to my bathroom cleaning tip to make your life easier!
(Need to get cleaning but not sure where to start? Check out my free ebook Spring Cleaning Tips to Get Your House in Tip Top Shape!)
A few years ago we renovated our bathroom and we put in tile. I admit I was hesitant to do tile at first, even though I love the way it looks, because I have heard horror stories about how hard it is to keep clean. Thankfully, I have had great results with the Scrubbing Bubbles® Bathroom Cleaner and I love the fresh lemon scent.
I tend to go through cleaning supplies really quickly so I am lucky to have a clean and fully stocked Dollar General in my town, and they always have great prices so I stock up when I am there.
*Waiting for the Scrubbing Bubbles® Bathroom Cleaner to do its magic. I just spray it on and wait five minutes and then wipe away the mess.
*Look at that shine!

Great tips! For the bathroom, I do steps 3 and 4 in reverse order and wipe down the toilet with a clump of toilet paper, which I then flush. It’s handy to grab, less expensive than a wipe, and doesn’t have to be cleaned like a sponge.
A healthier and more earth-friendly alternative to Scrubbing Bubbles is Mrs. Meyer’s Tub & Tile cleaner. Here’s my review with a link to a discount.
I haven’t tried scrubbing bubbles. I have been hesitant to know if they work as good as they claim. I will have to give them a try!
Do you have any recommendations for more natural cleaners?
Hi Desiree, Have you tried Essential Oils for cleaning?
Mrs. Meyer’s Tub & Tile cleaner is a similar product but made from safe and natural ingredients. Here’s my review with a link to a discount.
I’m not into all day cleaning so these five minute tips are perfect. I share the same kinds of things with the women who visit my site because I think cleaning in shorter spurs reduces stress over time.
Love this. Sometimes we procrastinate because we think we don’t have the time but this shows us we do! 5 minutes is all it takes! (I’ll be sharing this.)

This sounds great! I wish it only took me 5 minutes to “pick up toys” in the living room or “clear clutter from the countertops” in the kitchen, though… maybe then my house could actually be clean!
Love! Pinned and tweeted! Thank you so much for sharing this with us at our linky party. We hope to see you next Monday @ 7 because we can’t wait to see your new creations! Happy Saturday! Lou Lou Girls
I love tips to get the cleaning done quickly and easily! Thanks for sharing on Monday Madness link party last week! I loved this article that much it is the feature for this week’s party! Hope to see you there! 🙂
When I was young and stupid I used to try to clean the whole house on Saturday mornings but then I found like you, that just doing a little bit a few minutes at a time does wonders! I have two baskets I use for things that need to be put away, one for upstairs, one for down so I can just carry them as I go. I like the bag idea, too, although I use that for my car, I always have to make sure no one thinks it’s trash!!
Great ideas – Thanks for sharing this with us on Throwback Thursday! Hope to see you next week!
