Having lived in Hershey PA for over 8 years, my family and I love to go back and visit a few times a year to visit our favorite places and attractions within the town, and sometimes we don’t even visit Hersheypark. Don’t get me wrong, we LOVE to go to the park, but when time is tight or the park is closed for the season there is still plenty of things to do in Hershey to make a visit worthwhile. I have complied a list of my Top 5 Things to do in Hershey PA.
(Scroll to the bottom of this post to enter to win 4 tickets to Hersheypark!)
5 Things to do in Hershey PA
HersheyPark of course! Home to more than 70 rides–including 13 rollercoasters!– and attractions, including 25 kiddie rides and a water park, live daily entertainment, food and shopping, Hersheypark is all about family fun for everyone and every generation. And did you know that for just one price you can take advantage of Hersheypark, the Boardwalk at Hershey (Waterpark) and ZooAmerica!
ZooAmerica–Did you know that ZooAmerica is open year round and that it is free with the purchase of a Hersheypark ticket? Don’t feel like visiting the park? Then you can purchase a ticket just for ZooAmerica and visit the 11 acre zoo with more than 200 animals from five regions of North America, including the Southern Swamps, Northlands, Eastern Woodlands, Big Sky Country and the Great Southeast. The Zoo is a great way to cool off on a hot summer day or a fun way to spend a few hours together as a family.
Chocolate World–No visit to Hershey would be complete without a trip to Chocolate World. Make sure to take the free Chocolate World ride and have fun with the singing cows. In addition to the Chocolate World Ride you can also take part in the Chocolate Tasting Experience, Create Your Own Candy Bar or watch the 4D Chocolate Mystery Movie.
Chocolate World is a great place to grab a quick lunch or dinner before you head into the park, you can stock up on all your favorite Hershey products.
Hershey Gardens–do you enjoy flowers and nature? Then you need to head to the Hershey Gardens where something is always in bloom! This gorgeous, large garden is a treat for nature lovers and offers one of the best views of Hershey. There is a fun Children’s Garden that your kids are sure to enjoy and during the summer you can visit the Butterfly House, where you can get up close and personal with butterflies. The Hershey Gardens also has many seasonal programs available so there is sure to be something going on no matter what time of year you go.
Ride the Hershey Trolley–hands down my favorite attraction in Hershey. The Trolley ride leaves from Chocolate World and takes you on a tour of the highlights of the life of Milton Hershey–and at each stop you get a piece of candy! This tour is very informative and kids love to be able to ride the trolley–and many a baby has been lulled to sleep by the rocking of the trolley.

Haven’t been there before but I think I would love Zoo America.
I’ve only been to Chocolate World and the park! May have to try out the other attractions someday
We LOVE visiting Chocolate World then riding the roller coasters all day!
My favorite thing to do in Hershey is the chocolate factory ride!
My favorite thing to do is go on the Super Dooper Looper with my kids. It’s not the biggest roller coaster but it’s big enough for them & it’s a great introduction to the bigger roller coasters.
We love Chocolate World and the Kissing Tower.
I like to go on rides with my kids and also buy chocolate in the gift shop.
I love Hershey Park! We haven’t been able to take my younger son yet. Such a fun time!!
I’ve never been to Hershey, even though I live in PA so it’s surprising! But If I were to say, I would love to go to their museums. And just discover more about chocolate I never knew! – Emily Ann Benzing (Emily Ann)
My family loves Hershey Park.

We love ALL the rides at Hershey Park, especially the roller coasters!!
Love, love LOVE Hershey Park! We try to go every year – this year has just been a rough one. Would love to keep the tradition going! 🙂
Would love to take my kiddos to Hershey. We live within 30 mins and they have never been there.
spend time with my family! and of course visit Chocolate World!
We love both the amusement park and Chocolate World! My son is 6 now and would LOVE to ride the SUper Dooper Looper and get his “I survived the SUper Dooper Looper” just like his sister did 2 years ago and I did 32 years ago!
Our favorite thing to do in Hershey is to go on the water rides. Our next favorite is the roller coasters.
My favorite was going to east coast waterworks! Also buying some goodies from chocolate world for our trip home!
Can I say tour the factory?! Oh, that smell!! (I’m pretty fond of the coasters too. :D)
My boys love to visit Chocolate World and ride the ride, but I have heard a lot of negative feedback since they renovated it this spring. We have yet to visit since the changes, so we’ll see what we think… The Hershey Story Museum can be fun, although young kids may get bored quickly with some of it. Cocoa Castle is a fun playground in Hershey.
We love Hershey park! thank you for the chance
I have never been but I want to try all of the rides and buy a lot of chocolate
My Favorite Part about Hershey is that there is something for everyone! What ever your heart desires you can find it in Hershey.
I love to visit in the fall and stay at the Hershey lodge. In the evening the park has a fire set up where you can roast s’mores. My other favorite thing to do is unwinding at the end of the day in front of the fire place at the lodge.
My favorite part is the chocolate. And the rides. But mostly the chocolate!
I don’t have a favorite because we have never been there! Thank you for the chance to win.
Would love to win this fun day with my family!
