So are you still committed to 30 Days to a New You? What have you done for yourself today? This weekend? Are you meeting your fitness goals?
I work out every morning using a workout DVD. I would love to exercise outside every day but it just doesn’t work with my schedule. I did however get outside twice this weekend to exercise, once on Saturday when I jogged/walked (wogged) 30 minutes and I am thrilled that I am finally running more than walking. I am planning on running at least one 5K this summer so I have been using the Couch25K program when I do get to wog. I really like the program and it is no pressure, fun and I can have it playing at the same time as my Pandora playlist so I can keep the tunes coming 🙂
I also was able to get out with my mom and kids on Sunday and walk a mile so that was great as well.
Obviously, I have had 5kids so one of my target areas that I am working on is my abs and core area. A strong core is necessary so I am always looking for ways to tone up my ab area. I found this article interesting and have incorporated some of these moves in my daily routine. The Secret to a Flat Stomach by Collette De Benedetto is worth checking out if that is an area you are looking to target as well.
Here is a quote from the article: A healthy diet—full of fresh fruits, vegetables, lean protein, and healthy fats (like avocado and olive oil)—is critical to getting a flat stomach. Ever heard the phrase “your abs are made in the kitchen”? It’s true. This, coupled with the Harvard Women’s Health Watch recommendation of at least 30 minutes of moderately intense physical activity a day, is the key to getting a flat tummy.

I will be sharing a little in the next few days what I am currently eating and what I haven’t been eating (hint: I have had pizza once in the last 9 weeks!)
What have you been doing? How are you going to spend your 30 Days to a New You?
